What's Happening at St Sava?

The St Sava Serbian Orthodox Community warmly welcomes all faithful to join us every Sunday for worship and fellowship. We strive to make the Lord's House a place of joy.

Come explore our faith community and what we have to offer, but more importantly learn about our Orthodox Faith. Divine Liturgy is celebrated every Sunday at 10:00am. We welcome you to join us!

Fast-Free Weeks:

Week after the Publican & Pharisee - February 26 to March 3, 2024

Week following Cheesefare Sunday - March 11 to 17, 2024

Week after Pascha (Bright Week) - May 5 to 11, 2024

Week after Pentecost - June 23 to 29, 2024

After the Nativity to Epiphany Eve - January 7 to 18, 2025

There is no fasting on the Feasts of the Nativity and Epiphany, regardless of whether they fall on a Wednesday or Friday.

Days when the Sacrament of Marriage cannot be performed:

On Wednesdays and Fridays throughout the year from Cheese-Fare Sunday until St. Thomas Sunday

During the Nativity Fast, from Nativity until Epiphany

During the Apostles Fast and Dormition Fast

On the day of the Beheading of St. John the Baptist

On the Elevation of the Holy Cross.

Days when Memorial Services cannot be performed:

From Nativity until Epiphany, during the first week of Great Lent, during Holy & Bright Weeks (prior & after Easter), on Ascension of our Lord, Pentecost, & Transfiguration of our Lord, and from Great Thursday until St Thomas Sunday.
